Arriving at an airport is always about your birth / arrival into your family. How the plane lands indicates your emotions at birth. Were you scared in the dream? Was it frightening? Was it a close call? etc., etc. The feelings are brought up in the dream so that the trauma of the birth process can be healed. The plane does not even have to land at an airport. For example, a dream where a fighter plane crashes and burns but the pilot survives indicates that the dreamer's birth was emotionally traumatic (indicated by the flames), physically draining, e.g.. caesarean section or very long labor, (indicated by the crash or sudden landing on earth of the plane) and touch an go (indicated by attention drawn to the survival of the pilot and the fact that he was a fighter).
When the dream depicts a smooth landing with no problems this indicates that the opposite happened in reality. The dream goes the opposite way in order to heal the trauma. These dreams can also show the reaction of the dreamer's parents to his / her arrival. Who is attention drawn to in the dream? Are the people friendly or not? For example, a woman with a cash-box or register sitting at the exit door indicates that mother placed a price on her love. It had to be earned rather than it being unconditional. If a man helps you with your luggage it indicates that you picked up baggage from dad and that in reality he was not or is not supportive of you.
Remember that the whole purpose of the dream is to heal you of the trauma or baggage you picked up at birth. This is often where we set the foundation for negative patterns we carry with us through our lives. By resetting the foundation the dream can aim for several things among which are;
Dreams where you are doing an exam (eg. National entry exam) or being asked questions at a border post are about your spiritual purpose. The dream is reminding you that you took it on yourself to do certain tasks in this lifetime - ie. develop yourself in particular ways. When you fail to meet these objectives you can have these type of dreams to remind you of your goals. That being said they are a good dream to have because it means you are now ready to make the transition from one state of consciousness to another. Exactly what is holding you back would be detailed in the dream. Generally you find things change for you within a few weeks of this type of dream.
Flying in a dream is not too unusual but not everyone has these dreams. Our bodies cannot fly so flying represents the part of us that is not limited by the physical body - the mind. Flying by yourself in a dream indicates you have a strong mind (ie. are very rational / intellectual). This ability to 'project' your mind means you can develop hypnosis and absent healing among other things. These abilities work through projecting your mind onto another. The down side is that the person has to be careful to not be too much in the head all the time. You can miss a lot of opportunities in life if you always rationalize things and never follow you heart.
Flying with a guide in a dream is different though and it indicates that you have the ability to project your mind into the spirit world and communicate with spirits. A guide in these type of dreams usually appears as somebody who is an instructor on how to fly.
The book Journeys out of the Body by Robert A. Monroe is available in our bookshop. This book is excellent for explaining astral traveling and gives techniques for how to achieve it.
Dreams about being pregnant usually indicate a new project is 'around the corner' in your life. Giving birth is 'the most creative act' and in a dream means something 'new' is brewing. When it arrives in your life you will become more creative if you take it on. It is a good dream to have.
A departure at an airport indicates the same thing. The dreamer is being asked to depart on a new project. Obstacles to the departure, such as missing passport or tickets, etc. indicate a reluctance on the dreamer's part to get going on the new project
Funerals in dreams are always a request for the dreamer to eliminate the negative influence a particular parent has over them. Who is being buried? Is it a man (indicating dad) or a woman (indicating mother). The dead person does not have to be the dreamer's parent. In most cases the dreamer would be consciously aware of how that parent affects them negatively. When this is not the case, e.g.. the dreamer is too much like the parent to notice their own negative traits, the dead person will often be a relative in whom the dreamer can identify the traits.
The idea here is that once the dreamer cuts the ties with this parent new aspects of him or her will have space to surface. The book Cutting The Ties That Bind by Phyllis Crystal is available in our bookshop. The book explains the many benefits of cutting the ties and how to do it. The technique is also explained, with diagrams, on this site here.
A mother knows exactly how to push your buttons because she is the one who installed them in the first place!
Dreams about teeth falling out are quite common and can mean one of two things. The first is to do with having children. (Animals carry their young around with their teeth). This type of dream can be triggered by a number of things.
The other thing it can indicate is that you are in a situation where you cannot assert yourself. For example, if you work for somebody who is overbearing and your right to be assertive is not catered for.
Having sex in a dream indicates one of two things. The first and most common is for the dreamer to get intimate with their male / female side. In cases where, due to upbringing, a person is too male (e.g. causing them to repress their feelings) or too female (e.g. causing them to lack confidence in themselves) the dream tries to heal this by representing their male or female side as something desirable. The dream wants both male and female sides of the self to share a closeness in an uninhibited way. This sharing restores balance to the dreamer so they can draw on the strength inherent in the aspect of their nature they were repressing. Many people are shocked to find themselves having sex in a dream with a person of the same sex. This still has the same meaning. A woman having sex with another woman in a dream is still a healing device intended to put the dreamer in close contact with her heart / feelings.
Dreams can also include members of the family in sexual roles with the dreamer. Here the intent is to use an existing loving relationship as a pull to seduce the dreamer into have sex and therefore accept the healing the dream is offering.
Where a dreamer is able to be honest to themselves in private but puts on 'an air' or represses their feelings in public they can dream about having sex in public. Again the purpose of the dream is the same but here it is also asking the dreamer to not be afraid of being honest with themselves in front of others.
The second reason for dreaming about having sex is to heal the dreamer of the fact that they are currently not having sex with their partner. In this case the dream attempts to heal stress or whatever impact abstinence is having on the relationship.
