The Answer to your Dreams 5

I am surprised to see that August 20th was the last time I seriously dipped into the mailbag! Thanks to everyone who sent in a dream and a special thanks to those who replied when they saw their dreams in this column. I hope you find yours here this time.

JOHN’S DREAM: I'm on a push bike. It's getting dark and I have one and a half hours to get to Dublin for work. The headlamp on the bike is broken so there are no lights. A lady in a white car stopped at red traffic lights, smiled at me and offered me a lift. She said change out of your cycle gear in a spare vacant room nearby. The vacant room was in a mental hospital. A nurse came in and thought I was a patient. I got out and got a lift back with the lady.

INTERPRETATION: You are putting undue pressure on yourself (1.5 hours to get to work and the fact that you say push bike) in your career (getting to work). You need to slow down / develop patience (red traffic light and pun on patient) to prevent developing a circulatory system problem. The red color is healing for the circulatory system (refer to my color healing chart). 

COMMENT: If you followed the columns from October 22 and 29 (The Heart & Circulatory System) you will see that this dream is about the heart as indicated by the bicycle. Once we have determined the subject matter in this way we must link the physical damage to the bike to John's circulatory system (Rule 2 of Dream Interpretation: Cause and Effect). We are told the head-lamp was broken. This is a warning of stroke (physical damage to the head which is linked to the circulatory system). The time for action is now because the dream goes as far a showing the physical damage and also introduces two healing devices onto the scene. These are the color red, which stimulates the circulation of blood, and the kind woman. The kind woman is specifically healing by being the opposite to the way mother was. John's mother was very controlling towards him and did not give love unconditionally (indicated by the white car). This was the original trigger that led to John closing off his heart. That being said it is still only a warning and there is plenty of time for John to take remedial action to remove the threat of a stroke. John's next step is to slow down - give less time to his career and more time to himself. Cutting the ties with mother would be appropriate.

There is more in this dream and I have explained it to John personally. To date I have seen seven of his dreams and they all point to the need to Cut the Ties with mother. He is going to start this process after Christmas. It will be interesting to see how his dreams are changed by doing this.

SARAH’S DREAM: I walked into a small white church.  Inside of the church was all white and the benches were all dark wood. The church was empty except the benches. There was a funeral and I was there to attend the funeral.  Everybody was very very sad and crying and some couples were hugging each other for comfort. I felt embarrassed because it was a funeral and I was smiling! I went into another white empty room that was very small. When I walked in, there was nobody. But after I walked in, there came 4 people (2 men, 2 women) and one of them was a psychic. They were very scared. The psychic woman walked in through the door and started to walk around trying to feel a spirit's presence and she was failing to feel anything. I said to them: "Oh wait I can see the spirit. "The minute I said this, the spirit started making a roaring sound, shaking up the ground as in an earthquake and blowing strong winds in the room. They started to scream at the top of their lungs and including me, everybody was terrified! So all of us ran outside of the church because the spirit started to chase us with incredible rage. We ran to a tall, strong tree and tried to hide underneath but the spirit (my ex-boyfriend) found us. And just when he was about to kill us (or so we assumed), a husband, wife and a retarded child in wheel chair were passing by. The little boy was of Asian race. On his face, his jaw bone was bent out of shape very painfully so he could not talk, and his left toes were all deformed so he could not walk. He was also mentally retarded. When the spirit saw this boy, his rage stopped immediately. He took the boy in this arms and first, miraculously healed his jaw, then he took some extra set of 5 cute, little, transparent toes from out of nowhere and placed them on the child's foot. The new toes started to join his feet and a second later the boy had a complete foot. He got up started talking and walking because his mental retardation was healed too.

INTERPRETATION: This dream is about your spiritual gifts as indicated by the church. Remembering Rule 1 of interpretation (Everything Is Me) you are the psychic woman that enters the room. We use our gifts in our dreams so when in the dream you find that you can see the spirit it means that you have the gift of clairvoyance too! Lastly, and by no means least, you have the gift of spiritual healing. This is shown by a spirit linked to you (your ex-boyfriend) healing the child. This means that spirit can work through you to heal others of physical problems. This particular gift is very strong in you. So what is the rest of the dream saying? First, you limit this side of yourself (small church). You also need to eliminate any judgmental traits (indicated by benches) and anger (indicated by spirit being angry) you may have picked up from your parents. You are at the early stages of developing these gifts so being hard on yourself would achieve nothing. You also have a fear of working in this field (as indicated by the fear of the people in the dream). This is perfectly natural and for the most part may be subconscious. As your awareness of life in sprit grows this fear will diminish of its own accord. 

COMMENT: This dream has inspired me to finally write something about spiritual healing so watch for it in the next few weeks. The spiritual dimension is my favorite area of dream interpretation. However, I hold myself back from diving into this area because I remember how much it would have turned me off the subject when I first started into this field. In the meantime I can refer you to these columns that I have already written. The first two will help bring in your clairvoyance and the third one is the beginning of how to channel healing energy.
