Analysis is not a dream
You don't have to be an expert to interpret those mind games that happen in your sleep, finds Vicki Jocher.

Do you ever wonder what your dreams are about?

Some people believe it simply a replay of what happens to you during the day, others think it is a way of telling the future. I have it on good authority that it is a mixture and also that dreams can even foretell illnesses occurring. Sometimes dreams even heal these disease, as they can show you their origin.

I went to see Dublin's number one dream interpreter, Michael Sheridan, and was struck immediately by his warm personality.

We got down to analyzing a dream I had the night before. I was amazed at the extent of his knowledge and how from interpreting the dream he has such insights into my life. I felt inspired.

Interpretation of some common dreams

If you dream you are in school, sitting an exam: You are learning about yourself with a view to improving yourself.
Drowning: You currently see life as threatening or overwhelming.
Death: You need to eliminate negative influences from the past. The rest of the dream will indicate what this issue is.
Anger: This usually points to a problem in your digestive regions.
Filling up: If you thought dreaming about putting petrol in your car had to do with worrying about petrol prices, you couldn't be more wrong. It is actually a dream to heal your heart!

Houses: Dreaming of a house has to do with various body organs. It all depends what room, or what item. The bathroom points to the liver or kidneys. Central heating, fireplace or kettle has to do with the heart or circulatory system. The oven or microwave is the uterus.

Symbols: Dreaming of a book could mean you are a natural born counselor, or that you could take a course in counseling.

Dreams are there to heal and guide you, and the best person to interpret them is yourself. All you need is an understanding of the language of subconscious.

For this reason Michael runs dream interpretation workshops. There is one this Saturday and Sunday in The Royal Marnie Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, and you can contact Michael on (063) 35858.

You can also catch him tonight on Anna Livia Radio, 103.2FM. At 8pm he will be talking to Noelle Joyce, presenter of "Opening the Door". Ring in Live and have your dreams interpreted.
