Fast Food
To dream of any fast food restaurant is about the need to speed up your digestive system. It is a perfect symbolic antidote to a sluggish digestive system with fast food. To emphasize the healing the dream will often place you in the drive through which provides faster fast food and is usually very brightly lit in the dream.
Father
To dream of your father dying is not a warning about his death. Rather it asks you to let some negative aspect of yourself die so that a more positive one can find expression. The negative aspect is connected with your father that you either copied or developed, as a result of your relationship. It does not matter if your father is already dead or you have not seen him in many years. It is the effect you are carrying today that is the target of the dream. Male energy is affected by your relationship with your father and gives you confidence, belief in yourself, creativity, individuality, various spiritual gifts and more. The dream can be about any of these.
Fence
A fence is used to mark your personal space. In dreams this is a symbol of sharing and indicates suppression of feelings. You do not share your feelings with others and more importantly you do not acknowledge your feelings yourself. Feelings come from your heart and persistent suppression can lead to health problems in this area. Also look for symbols to do with your head, such as roofs or being up a height, as these dreams are often asking you to move your centre of consciousness down from your head and into your heart.
Ferris Wheel
A Ferris wheel or big wheel is likely to be about being caught on a karmic cycle. This is where you miss the opportunities in life to repay the karmic debts you owe. This can results in the need to plan another life to pay the debts you had planned to pay this time around. A Ferris wheel ride symbolizes this perfectly as it just does a complete cycle and you end up back where you started.
Ferry
A car ferry signifies pregnancy or your own birth. A car ferry is a vehicle that carries smaller vehicles in its belly. It brings the smaller vehicles across water (which symbolizes the spirit world in dreams) to a berth in a port where the smaller vehicles leave the ferry. This signifies arrival on the planet / birth (berth being a pun).

Floating
Floating indicates that you have the ability to project your mind onto others. You can use this to good and bad effect. It is very useful in marketing, sales and teaching. Be careful not to think badly of others as your negative thoughts can have a negative effect on them. Whether you believe in karma or not you will bring it on yourself for doing this.
Floating also indicates you have the ability to hypnotize others. Hypnosis is achieved by the practitioner projecting their mind onto their subject. This is regardless of other tools the hypnotist may use or believe is doing the hypnosis for them. It is their mental projection onto the mind of the subject that makes it work.
Floor
Floors in kitchens, bathrooms or when the state of the floor is the focus, can also symbolize your elimination system. This is particularly the case if the floor is dirty or something has spilled onto it. For example, if milk boils over on the cooker and spills onto the floor it means you have an intolerance to milk and your system cannot eliminate it properly from your body.
Sitting on a floor in a dream brings you back to your childhood as that is when you used to sit on the floor.
Flowers
A potted flower symbolizes reproduction, the uterus, new growth and the possible heralding of a child.
A rose symbolizes virginity – giving someone your flower.
I came across an interesting symbol in a recent dream. It was a string of flowers in the dreamer's living room that lead up to a flower wreath in the centre of the ceiling. In the dream they were placed there by her deceased mother.
In the dream they symbolise that the bond of love (string of flowers) continues in the spirit world (ceiling level emphasized) beyond the grave (wreath). What a wonderful message to receive from a loved one?
Flying
Flying is symbolic of projecting your mind and this means three abilities are part of your nature. The first is absent healing – which is healing from afar. This is what Jesus performs on the centurion’s servant in the bible.
The second is that you have the ability to project your mind onto others. You can use this to good and bad effect. It is very useful in marketing, sales and teaching. Be careful not to think badly of others, as your negative thoughts can have a negative effect on them. Whether you believe in karma or not you will bring it on yourself for doing this.
The third is the ability to hypnotize others. Hypnosis is achieved by the practitioner projecting their mind onto their subject. This is regardless of other tools the hypnotist may use or believe is doing the hypnosis for them. It is their mental projection onto the mind of the subject that makes it work.
Flying with a guide in a dream indicates you are a channel. You can travel to the spirit world to communicate with spirits and bring back the messages you receive. A guide is anyone with a title, anyone who speaks with authority or anyone who offers you a gift in a dream.
Flying down and landing symbolizes your birth (arrival onto the planet).
Flying Saucer
A flying saucer symbolizes angels / guides. Anything circular can symbolize ideals / God and in this case the divine nature of your angels. Since they are depicted in your dream as extra terrestrials, it means that you have not come to terms with the fact that you have angels looking after you or that you are equal to them.
Fog
Food
Food being served by a waiter, indicates you are a spiritual healer (hands-on healer) as food is the energy source that sustains us throughout our lives.
Foreign Country
Some countries have specific meanings and indicate what is required for this expansion. These symbols only hold if you are not from the country in question. If one of your parents is from that country it may also change the meaning of the symbol. It all depends on how you view the place in question. The meaning ascribed to foreign countries comes mostly from the predominant view held by historians writing about them.
The reader from a particular country listed here may find the meaning ridiculous or offensive. On my courses where I teach dream analysis, nobody from Ireland has ever gotten that it symbolizes resolution of conflict although every non Irish person sees it immediately. It will be the same for the country you are from which is why, for you, the symbolism does not hold.
Moving to another country signifies a change in consciousness. Generally you want to be moving to a country that is larger than the one you are leaving as this would indicate an expanded consciousness.
Africa, being the origin of the human species, is about getting to the root of the subject matter of the dream..
Canada indicates an expansion of consciousness through dharma. This is often referred to as living in a state of grace and is the way Jesus proposed we live. On this path you choose what you know will be spiritually beneficial to you and not necessarily what is logical.
England, due to Oxford and Cambridge universities, represents education.
France represents sexuality. The sexual revolution started in France.
Germany, due to the rise of Nazism and their belief that the Aryan race was the purest and noblest, also due to two world wars, symbolizes arrogance and a regimented way of thinking. As in all cases this does not hold if you are German. To the German reader this may seem offensive but ask any child in the developed world to tell you one thing they know about Germany and they will invariably bring up World War II.
India indicates karma, as karma has been referred to as an Indian disease. Anyone who has ever been there will testify to the general attitude of the affluent towards those with nothing. Beggars are stepped over on the street with a general view that they must not be helped as it would interfere with their karma.
Ireland, due to the conflict in Northern Ireland, represents conflict with the potential for peace.
Italy, due to the passion of its citizens symbolizes your heart and circulatory system.
Spain or any other hot country indicates the need for healing. This is because the Sun in dreams symbolizes healing.
Due to the current peace process going on in Northern Ireland, to dream of it or Belfast can symbolize the need to resolve conflict. It can also mean that you and whoever you are in conflict with are polar opposites, like the Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland.
The United States of America indicates an expansion of consciousness. Much of the Western ‘New Age’ movement has its origins in America. However, America is viewed by many non Americans as a very male oriented society and as such would also indicate being on the karmic path.
Fork
Road junctions symbolize choices ahead. A fork in the road forces you to consider your path and change direction, but not by much. The new direction will only be subtly different from your current course. Essentially the dream is telling you to make a slight adjustment in order to move onto the correct path.
Fortune Teller
To dream of a fortune teller means that you have the gift of prophecy. Anyone with a title in a dream is a guide and whatever ability they have, you have too. Therefore you have the ability to predict the future. This is not a very common gift, even though public perception is that everyone who is psychic in any way can tell the future. The fortune teller may offer you a gift in the dream to highlight that this is indeed your gift.
Furniture
Antique furniture indicates ideals. It is always good to have ideals and goals. However, if the ideals are not part of your life purpose and are hindering you in any way, your dreams will show this. Moving your parent’s furniture or furniture that looks like theirs into your house is a common theme here. A clash of ideals is indicated if you find yourself having to be careful not to hit against the furniture in the dream or find yourself moving it around looking for space for it.
