Dream: Driving The Pushbike

I dreamed I was driving a pushbike towards my mother’s house. Suddenly I hit a car and crashed into 5 other cars killing 6 women – one of them was Bernie, my brother’s wife. There wasn’t a scratch on me. Then I’m in my mother’s house and I wanted to talk to Bernie so she appeared. I was aware she was dead at this time. Then my brother arrived at the door but he wouldn’t come in because he knew Bernie was inside.

Interpretation

A bike is a perfect symbol for the circulatory system for three reasons; one, the wheels or any circle indicate the circulatory system; two, it requires balance like the heart, and three, it requires exercise which is healing for the heart. With that in mind, the dream is about your heart and the ongoing effect your mother has on your female side.

Hitting the car is a pun on karma and this is also supported by the number 5 coming next. Taking the whole dream up to this part it is saying that you are driving and pushing. This is a male approach to life and is at the expense of your female side. This is pulling you onto a karmic path (crashing into the car and the number 5). In short karma is about learning your lessons through the 5 senses – i.e. not being aware that there is anything more than the physical. Although this is a valid way of operating you are shown that you have potential to go beyond the 5 senses by the fact that the number 6 comes up next in your dream. This is often referred to as a Dharmic and / or Christ Consciousness path and is a female approach to life. Killing the 6 women is a warning that you are killing your female side and therefore losing the potential to be on this path. Balance between male and female sides is required.

Next we see you in your mother’s house. This indicates that she in some way has restricted the flow of your female energy. Being able to talk to the dead as you do in the dream indicates the gift of channeling. This is supported by the fact that a husband and wife team are mentioned as channeling requires balance between both male and female energy. The fact that your brother would not meet with his wife indicates the distance your current behavior (driving and pushing) is putting between your male (the brother) and your female (his wife) sides.

Dreamer's Comment on the Interpretation

It makes a lot of sense. I’ve been working hard lately to make a deliverable to an American company. To achieve this I had to be very controlling and scheming in work. The night I had the dream I had said to myself that I could now start to relax and give people their own space and even spend less time in work myself.
