Dream: Afraid after seeing spirit while awake

You are a channel (medium). The back of your neck (usually closer to in-between your shoulders) is often where you will feel the contact that spirits make. As a channel you are open to communication with ALL spirits and the onus is on you to learn to distinguish between the types that are out there. I can discuss this further if you have specific questions but there are many books available which adequately explain what is involved.

The back of the neck is also a place where you 'feel' sensations if you have the ability to astral travel (leave your body and travel in spirit form). In your previous Email you describe an astral traveling experience. What you are remembering is actual encounters with your grandmother while you have left your body during your sleep. Based on the type of conversation you had I suspect that you will be 'guided' in the direction of spiritual teaching to help others. Before this happens it is likely that you will experience a need to understand everything that there is in this area. There will be a question which you have which will not be answered until you have searched many avenues. Even then you may not get the answer but your desire to discover an answer will ground you in various disciplines in the Spiritual field.

To answer your question about your grandmother - she is not your spirit guide. Here is how to tell when your guides are around. To practice you must sit in a room where nobody will bother you. Sit still on a chair with both feet on the ground and your hands on your knees. Relax and ask your guides to come close to you. What you are trying to feel is a change in the atmosphere of the room. It is nothing spooky or anything like that. The difference is subtle and you may miss it at first. But if you sit for 15 minutes just 'listening' to how your body feels you will notice it. Sometimes it will feel like a coolness is moving from ground level up your body. It wont matter what you are wearing (jeans etc.) or how warm the room is - it will feel as if your skin is exposed to this coolness. Once you have the feeling then ask your guides for the answer 'Yes'. You will feel this as a tingling or pressure on part of your body. In your case it is likely to be a tingling on the right hand side of your face and your right hand at the same time (according to my guides). when you sense this ask them to take the answer away - feel the difference and then ask them to do it again. Do this until you are comfortable with it. Then do the same thing for 'No' - Sometimes an absence of a signal is no so if you get nothing when you ask a question and you can already feel that your guides are around then it is save to assume the answer is 'No'. You can use the above to talk to your guides. Develop a rapport with them and get to know what they 'feel' like. This is important because once you open up other spirits could mess with you by giving you false answers. Always remember that spirits can do nothing to harm you and your guides would never allow that to happen anyway. Ask your guides for protection and to only let in spirits that should be around you. You only need to ask them once.
